MUSTAQBIL KIS KI HATTH
A Seminar By SACC and Karwan-e-Fikkar – 23rd March, 2009
SACC and Karwan-e-Fikkar jointly arranged a seminar on “Mustaqbil Kis Ki Haath Mein” at Sheikhupura – Pakistan on 23rd March 2009 in which besides various social and political personalities/dignities, Board and Executive Members (Mian Saif ur Rehman, Mian Akhlaq ur Rehman, Mr. Haroon Adeem, Mr. Nazir Sindhu, Mr. Zameer Afaqi, Mr. Abbas Ali and Mr. Sahkir Qureshi) of SACC attended the seminar.

  

MR. SHAKIR QURESHI, SACC UK REGIONAL HEAD, VISITED LAHORE - PAKISTAN

Mr. Shakir Qureshi SACC United Kingdom Regional Head visited Lahore, Pakistan on 16 March. He attended a gesture party arranged in his favour by the SACC Board and Executive Members. This party was attended by Mian Saif-ur-Rehman, Mian Akhlaq-ur-Rehman, Mr. Haroon Adeem, Mr. Zameer Afaqi, Mr. M Afzal Qamar, Mr. Munawar Ali Sahid, Mr. Nazir Ahmad Sindhu, Mr. Nasir Zaidi and Mr. Abbas Ali. During this party/meeting a comprehensive program regarding SACC activities in UK was discussed.

  

SACC BOARD AND EXECUTIVE MEMEMBERS VISITED DARUL HIKMAT COLLEG, LAHORE – PAKISTAN

On the invitation of Mr. Shahid Ambroze Director Darul Hikmat College, Ferozepure Road, Lahore – Pakistan SACC Board and Executive Members (Mian Akhlaq ure Rehman, Mr. Haroon Adeem, Mr. Zameer Afaqi, Mr.Nazir Ahmad Sindhu, Mr. Munawar Ali Sahid and Mr.Abbas Ali) visited the college campus. During thisthey attended a literary function and address the students and shared their learning and experiences.

SACC Board pleased to appoint Mr. Shakir Qureshi as Regional Head in United Kingdom (UK). We welcome Mr. Shakir on SACC platform.

SEMINAR ON INTERFAITH HARMONY
A Seminar on Interfaith Harmony was held on 20th November 2008 in Lahore - Pakistan, which was presided over by Mian Akhlaq ur Rehman, President SACC (South Asian Columnists' Council). Besides, a lot of audience, there were Haroon Adeem (Chairman General Council), Zameer Afaqi (General Secretary), M Afzal Qamar (Assistant General Secretary), Muhammaed Ahsan (Guest Speaker), Dr. Ali Akbar Anjum, Baber Shehzad Chatha (Chairman National Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony - Punjab, Allama Amjad Alvi, Sahibzada Shahid Riaz, Nasrullah Chatha and Maulana Rajeullah and was the speakers of the seminar. A way forward for the interfaith harmony was discussed during the seminar. It was also emphasized by the participants that the representatives from all walk of life, sects and religions should be invited to join the National Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony.
The seminar was jointly sponsored by SACC and National Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony, Government of Pakistan.

     

BOARD MEETING
On 28th June a meeting of Board Members of SACC was held in Lahore which was presided over by Mian Akhlaq ur Rehman President and attended by Mr. Muhammad Saeed Azhar, Mr. Akbar Alam, Mr. Zameer Afaqi, Mr. Haroon Adeem and Mr. Muhammad Afzal Qamar. During the meeting a review of past performance was carried out and a plan was chalked out for the future. During the meeting it was also decided that all the members should widely introduce SACC’s activities within their colleagues and friends as well. Mr. Tahir Zeshan Afzal, Webmaster was also present during the meeting.
